Coach Roel has possessed the Canadian Certified Financial Planner designation for over 14 years and has over 8 years experience as a traditional financial advisor. However, he retired from financial services at the ripe old age of 37 years old in 2012 shortly after starting a real estate investing business in Canada.

Today, Coach Roel lives in Orlando, FL with his lovely wife and three kids under the age of 8 years old.

What Is A Snowbird Investor?

The Snowbird Investor is an international investor who owns and operates a Florida property investing business from Canada. She has the free time and money to afford spending as little or as much time in Florida as she wants with her family, especially during the cold, harsh Canadian Winters–all paid for by her Florida income properties.
 
The Snowbird Investor’s interpretation of the Canadian Dream is to retire ridiculously early and fly south to live in Florida every Winter.
 
The Snowbird Investor may suffer from an acute case of S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder), which is a real disorder (google it!). Although, this conclusion is almost always self-diagnosed. In turn, The Snowbird Investor’s self-prescribed solution is to live in the land of sun, sand, and palm trees during the long, cold, dark Winters—sometimes just for a few days, sometimes for several weeks at a time.
 
The Snowbird Investor is tired and frustrated with out-of-control real estate prices, bidding wars, government-mandated rent controls, negatively cash-flowing properties and antiquated tenancy laws.
 
The Snowbird Investor is able to do 2 to 3 Florida real estate deals for every 1 Canadian real estate deal using the same amount of investment capital.
